N-as fi crezut ca pot sa dau la rand, in aceeasi zi, peste doua albume atat de bune, ambele indie, ambele aparute in 2008. Da, dupa Made in the Dark de la Hot Chip, Midnight Boom este inca un album indie de exceptie.

As sublinia cate ceva... Prima melodie, U.R.A. Fever, este un fel de We Will Rock You care isi impune intr-un final ritmul iar tu, neajutorat, dai din cap, ce sa faci? You are a fever/ you are a fever/ ya ain't born typical. O alta melodie care mi-a placut este Tape Song care mie imi aduce putin cu Lali Puna - ascultati Rapariga Da Banheira, daca nu ma credeti! You've got to go straight ahead/ You've got to, you've got to go straight ahead. Insa, cea mai tare, cea mai melancolica, cea mai memorabila si cea mai linistita, de altfel, este Black Balloon. Farewell my black balloon,/ the weather had it's way with you...

Adevarul e ca nu prea exista pe albumul asta o melodie care sa-mi displaca. Au contraire...
