De parca toate momentele romantice pot avea drept coloana sonora numai unul dintre cantecele lui...

Una dintre cele mai frumoase voci pe care Jamaica le-a dat lumii, John Holt a fost mai intai cunoscut ca solist al grupului The Paragons, probabil cea mai importanta trupa rocksteady din toate timpurile.

1000 Volts of Holt este, in mare parte, un album de covers si asta n-ar trebui sa mire pe nimeni, pentru ca in anii '70 - '80 muzica reggae a imbratisat foarte deschis aceasta practica, ridicand la rang de hituri multe melodii necunoscute in original.

As mai spune doua lucruri... John Holt se afla pe locul doi in topul meu personal al celor care au interpretat Mr. Bojangles si, pentru ca astazi este 1 Martie, melodia de mai jos e pentru fete. ;)
